Martin Wimbush


Martin Wimbush was born in London and trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

A well known and versatile actor, Martin has worked extensively in the West End, TV, films and with most of our leading repertory companies.

He has created and performed three one-man shows: Wellington, a play about the first Duke, A Meeting of Minds, celebrating Betjeman and Larkin, and Shakespeare and Me, a revealing and engaging look at his work in Shakespeare.

In 2021 Martin created the musical revue So, Where Did It All Go Wrong? with Malcolm Newton and Sally Bayly, and in 2023 created another show with the same team, I Am No Good At Love, based on a poem by Noel Coward.

All of these shows have been performed at the Rye Arts Festival and various venues around the country.

Martin remains a long-standing member of Actors & Writers London, as well as Equity.
